Have you ever felt like you’re playing the wrong game?
That was Gerry Giraffe. He was trying to play baseball, but his height made his strike zone a mile high.
He wasn’t passionate about it; he was just doing what everyone else was doing.
In business, we often do the same thing. We follow the “standard” advice, we use the “standard” tools,
and we wonder why we aren’t seeing world-class results.
The secret to breaking through isn’t doing more—it’s about finding your Passion and removing your
Limitations.
The Passion Predictor
Coach Rhino shared a revelation with Gerry that changed everything: The best predictor of success
is the degree of passion a person has.
Passion isn’t just an emotion; it’s an unshakeable power of belief. When you believe in something
strongly enough, you develop the passion to actually do the work.
Most salespeople know they should talk to more people.
Most marketers know they should refine their copy.
But until they have the passion to act, their results stay exactly the same
The “One-Legged Race” Strategy
Here is the exercise Coach Rhino gave Gerry, and it’s one I want you to do today:
- Define your goal. What is the “Mountain” you want to move?
- Identify 20 limitations. Write down 20 things (thoughts, beliefs, or habits) that are currently holding
you back. - Find the Top 3. Out of those 20, which 1 to 3 items are the “major hang-ups”?
The secret of the most successful people is that they don’t try to fix everything at once. They focus on
removing the major roadblocks. Once those are gone, it’s like being in a race against a bunch of one-
legged men—you’ll fly past the competition.

Using Operly to Clear the Track
How do you turn this philosophy into a reality? You use a system that forces clarity.
Audit Your Limitations: Use your Vault or a Document to list your 20 limitations. Be honest. Is it a
lack of time? A lack of technical skill? A lack of follow-up?
Focus Your Passion: Once you identify the “Top 3,” create a Project in Operly specifically to
eliminate them.
The 80/20 Rule in Action: By removing just those 3 major limitations, you eliminate the vast
majority of roadblocks for all your goals.
What Is Your “Basketball”?
Gerry realized he wasn’t a baseball player—he was a basketball player. His height wasn’t a
disadvantage; it was his greatest asset in the right context.
Stop trying to fix your strike zone and start finding the court where you can dominate. Identify your
limitations, focus your passion, and use Operly to clear the path to your dreams.
